Frequently Asked Questions
What age or skill level do swimmers need to be to enroll in TIDE Swimming programs?
The youngest athletes we accept (both in and out of the pool) start at the age of six years old. No skill level is needed for athletes choosing sessions in the gym. However, basic knowledge of all four strokes is required for all pool work.
How do you tailor training to fit each swimmer’s individual needs and goals?
The best coaches and programs are the ones who are malleable to their athletes, not the other way around. Here at TIDE we pride ourselves on creating results oriented programs that are based on each specific athlete. Each individual will have a set of “base line” results that will be used throughout the duration of training to identify growth in respective areas. This is for both pool and gym sessions.
What can swimmers expect to gain from the Strength and Conditioning program?
Strength and Conditioning has longed been kept at arm’s length in competitive swimming. Yet in recent years, we have seen a steady increase in swimmers diving into the gym. This is primarily due to scientific advancements in human development and performance pertaining to the sport. Each athlete will acquire a toolbox of things ranging from proper warm up/down procedures, plyometrics, strength, and cardio. All programs will be tailored around injury prevention and athlete performance.
Do you offer discounts for booking multiple sessions or packages?
Yes, discounts are offered for those who wish to purchase multiple packages. Family discounts are also provided for parents that have multiple athletes that want to enroll as well.
